Hannah
Well, my Hannah, our short journey through life together has ended. It was such a shock to wakeup this morning and find that you had crossed the Rainbow Bridge last night in your sleep. I hope that you felt no pain and that you will miss us as much as we miss you. I only wish that we had been able to say goodbye and tell you how much we loved you. It is so hard to say goodbye, but it would have felt better if we had been able too. Two years is not enough time to share love and affection, but I hope you knew ours.
You were a rescued from a puppy mill and showed the wear and tear of years of neglect and many litters on your little body. You had only one eye and a poor little foot that had been broken and never reset. But that little tail never stopped wagging. You always seemed so happy.
I'll miss seeing you in our backyard, just wandering around enjoying the freedom you never had before. You could never get enough of being in that yard. I can only imagine that you spent the earlier part of your life living in a crate day after day. I know that you will be able to wander all over at the Bridge. Enjoy it my friend, but please from time to time take a moment to think of us, who you left behind, as we will be thinking of you as the days go by.
I don't know what to tell little Joshua when he comes to visit and looks for his Hannah-Banana. You know he loved you too.
Goodbye my Hannah. Love and Kisses always. We'll be together someday and we will share all the memories of our short life together. May the good Lord bless you and keep you until we meet again.
