Kessie When we first found you so many years ago, you were so small and frightened. A tiny little kitten stuck in a tree. After a year we started calling you our "Fat Cat." You had gottten so big. But we loved you just the same. You were always so affectionate when you wanted to be, but aloof when you felt like it. Your purr could be heard all through the house.
We miss you "Fat Cat" and wish that we had many more years to love you and hear your purr. All your friends keep looking for you and miss you too. I am glad you went to the bridge in peace laying on your blanket, at least we got to say goodbye to you.
Goodbye my "Fat Cat" may you find all your friends who went to the bridge before you. You will be young and slim again. Have fun and enjoy. We will miss you terribly. Please don't forget about us and watch for us to cross the bridge when our time has come.
Love always,
Mom and Dad

Final Place in the Sun
Everytime I look at the sill,
Where the sun warms a patch-my heart will fill
With a certain sense of not-quite-right
An empty sun-patch isn't right.
Other cats fill sun-drenched sills,
But that's your patch, & nothing fills
The window where your form once lay
A twist of fate stole you away.
I hope that in the place you've gone
While you wait to be reborn
There is a nice, warm patch of sun
That you can warm your fur upon.
And while I wait I must admit
That nothing really seems to fit
Nearly quite as well as you
That patch of sun upon the sill.
